Zampogna request

Post by bobble991 » Wed May 28, 2008 3:56 pm

Are there any zampogna owners around here who would be prepared to do me the HUGE favour of taking some photos of their instruments for me. I would love to see the large and small chanters out of the stocks from a couple of different angles in order to improve my understanding of the instrument.
Also Im looking for tech drawings of a ciaramelle.

Thanks
Bob

"Le Zampogne in Italia"
Authors : Febo Guizza & Roberto Leydi
Published 1985 Ricordi
Strumenti musicali popolari in Italia Vol 1
No ISBN

Do not know if the projected Vol 2 was ever published.
It was to cover
Zampogna Zoppa
Zampogna A chiave
Zampogna alla Moderna
Piva
Musa
Ciaremella
Piffero

Your local public library should be able to get you a copy via inter-library loan (Boston Spa -lending division of the British Library did have a copy)

Contains basic measurements and reed details for a number of different types of Zampogna - Surdelina, Zampogna Fossalto (made from cane), Zampogna a Paro plus the Pive Istriana
