Pipers' Gathering registration is open!

Post by MarkS » Tue Apr 26, 2011 10:22 am

Registration is now open for the 2011 Pipers' Gathering, to be held August 5 - 8, 2011 at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. Come and see what we have been planning for you over the past twelve months! We think you will love our new venue and we have worked hard to offer you the very best piping experience of the year. Come and meet old friends, greet new friends and have a great, relaxing, fun weekend of piping.

If you're using the Google Chrome browser, please use this link for our registration form: <http://tinyurl.com/3gs6bv3>

All other browsers can use this link for the registration form: <http://pipersgathering.org/RegistrationOnline.shtml>

This year you can use the online form to register whether you're paying by check or credit card.

Our confirmed lineup for 2011 includes:

SSP/Border pipes: EJ Jones, Tim Cummings
Early Music and Renaissance piping: Tom Zajac
Northumbrian small pipes: Dick Hensold, Andy May
Uilleann pipes: Eamonn Dillon, Jerry O'Sullivan, Cillian Vallely
Fiddle: Jamie Laval
Irish Flute: Mike McHale, Andrea Mori
Whistle: Mike McHale, Andrea Mori

Two additional SSP/Border pipes instructors from the Vermont Bellowspipes School will be named in the near future.

Instructor bios will be available on our website shortly.

One of the big advantages offered by our move to Champlain College is that fact that we can all sleep in college accommodation and eat our meals together in the college cafeteria.

Bedrooms are student-style, simple but comfortable with either single, double or multi-accommodation to suite single people, couples or families. The beds are extra long, twin-size beds. All bed linen, pillows and bath linen are provided by the College for a one-time charge of $20.

Meals are provided in the college’s attractive cafeteria, where four different service counters offer a wide choice of menus from burgers to vegetarian. The three meals per day: breakfast, lunch and dinner, are included in the full registration package.

The move from Killington to Champlain College has brought about a change in how costs are handled. For the first time, the Pipers’ Gathering is able to offer fully inclusive registration covering lodging, food and piping activities. We believe that this offers excellent value for money, especially compared to projected costs had the event remained at Killington. The prices shown here are based on single occupancy room and all meals from Friday dinner through Monday lunch, with other options available on the online registration form.

Musicians - Includes group instruction, afternoon workshops, Saturday & Sunday night events, room and meals.
Early Bird (Before June 3rd): $540
June 4 to July 15: $560
After July 15, registration at the gate: $580 (Availability of rooms and meals at the College may be limited)

A limited number of private lessons with select instructors will be available at the rate of $50 per 50 minute lesson, on a first come/first served basis.

Non-Musicians - Includes afternoon workshops and evening events, room and meals. Group instruction is not included.
All weekend: $296
One-Day: - Either Saturday or Sunday: Please use the online registration form to determine your fee.

Tickets for the evening concerts are $15. Musician and All-Weekend Non-Musician fees include both evenings. One-day Non-Musician fee includes that evening's concert.

* Children under 12 admitted to the concerts for free
* The general public is invited into the Vendors' area during the day at no cost.
