Great resource stuff David! Thank you man. I wasn't aware of the Laurie and Eddie Climo booklet, and was very happy to peruse it! It shall go into my 'library'.

Hey,

Anybody "in the know" got any updates to the links that are dead?

For my reedmaking calculator, go to http://www.southeastpipersclub.org and click on the menu item called Reedmaking Calculator

The link will change from time to time as I upgrade software, so following the menu is the best bet.

Here is the link to Davy Stephenson's website. This is a tremendous resource for not only those interested in making reeds, but getting into pipe making as well.

Hello all . I am currently available part time as a reedmaker . I am charging about $ 45 .00 per reed . I am not currently running a website . If you are interested in having a reed made I can be reached at my email ; uilleann11@hotmail.com . I may be a day or so in responding ,as I now use the library for internet access at this time .
I am able to do custom work If the chanter is shipped to me . and the turn around time is about two weeks at this time .
If I were to send out a reed based on the discription only , I would not be able to say for sure if it would work , though they usually have in the past , and worked very well . I am making the reeds a bit stronger nowadays , and that usually will insure the reed is working when it has been shipped . charges do not include shipping costs or insurance for chanters . P.s. I am currently on disabiliity , and healing well from a shoulder injury . I live in southern maine . 1 mile ( exactly ) ,, lol from the beach at high tide .

Is this the thread for reed making tools, cane, twine, staples, etc.?
If so, how 'bout some hardware links?
Thanks!
My only regret is not making more mistakes.
