Kenna C throat position?

Post by bobble991 » Fri Nov 12, 2010 5:06 pm

I am about to make the reamers for the Kenna C chanter but the actual throat position isnt mentioned. There must be a section of parallel bore at 3,8mm before the conical bore begins. Can anyone please confirm if this is the case.

I don't necessarily think so.

I would recommend that the best you can do with the available data is extrapolate from the bore trending at the reed seat and the section just below the notional "throat". The *exact* position of the chanter throat (as opposed to just its major and minor diameters) can be devilishly difficult to measure.
