Restoration

Post by Uilleann203 » Fri Jun 12, 2015 5:20 am

Hi all!
I have a set in need of restoration and I am wondering who you would recommend to do the work. It is a Carrigan full set. I only really know of Martin Gallen doing restoration but I'm sure there are others!
Thanks

I think PJ is on the right track. Lots of pipemakers are involved with restoration work, especially the more experienced ones. Finding someone close to you is a good strategy so you can easily confer and ride shotgun over the process.

I've had Martin help restore a set for me but location was the key- he lives about two miles away.
