hello people...I need help here. I'm a piper from Malaysia and I play the David Daye Penny Chanter. it's a good chanter...anyway, I got a problem with my F#. it seems like it goes flatter on the first octave and sharper on the 2nd octave. I do applied the pvc tape on the hole in order to make the 2nd octave flat, but there's no effect at all.
is it because of the reeds or the pressure on my bag is unsteady? or anything else? HELP!

Re: need help!
do you have more than one reed? does it do it with all of your reeds?

Re: need help!
Hi Faliq - You could try placing the reed a little further down into your chanter. Unwind some of the hemp and push the staple deeper into the reed seat. Then see how it effects the balance of the two octaves.
Re: need help!
Are you placing the tape on the top side of the note hole? The part closest to the reed.
