FIRST William Kennedy Academy of Piping, ARMAGH

Post by WKPF » Wed Oct 10, 2012 12:13 pm

Taking advantage of the cream of uilleann piping visiting Armagh for the WIlliam Kennedy Piping Festival, we are pleased to announce the first William Kennedy Academy of Piping.

This is an immersion weekend for uilleann pipe enthusiasts and features a weekend of masterclass workshops, lectures, pipe making & maintenance and a festival pass!

Even better than that, your meals and accommodation are thrown in too for the very special rate of £100! This is a heavily subsidised rate and would not be possible without the support of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.

SO Who'll be teaching? Mick O Brien, Mikey Smith, Brian McNamara, Tiarnán Ó Duinnchinn & Éamonn Curran. Lectures by Eric Montbel, Ronán Browne and Peter Browne.

Festival performers include Jarlath Henderson, Topanga, Seudan, Rory Campbell, Distil Ancience Project, Finlay McDonald, Caoimhín Ó Fearghail, all of our Academy Tutors & more…Check out the WKPF website - www.wkpf.org

If you'd like to apply for a place in the first William Kennedy Academy of Piping please contact grainne@armaghpipers.org for an info pack.
