I've heard of Evans/Sheard/Soefirne once or twice but not seen any of their work up close. They're not well known (in the sense of Quinn, Froment, Wooff, etc.).

It looks like a full nice set and all drones/regs/keys appear to be there. However, it would be difficult to value the set without knowing whether it is in playing order.

One suggestion would be to contact the makers or Brian Howard (as he has already done some work on the set) and get them to give the set the "once over" (reeds, joins, keys, etc.). If you can get a piper to record a few pieces on the set, on post video/audio somethere, that would give potential buyers something to judge the set by.

Another suggestion would be to go on to a forum for Scottish small pipes and see if anyone wants to trade.

I am sorry for your loss. Bet bet is take them to someone who plays and see if they need to be reeded and/or how they sound. They look like a very nice set. I you can reed them up and get them playing well, that will increase your selling price.
