Re: NEW ANDREAS ROGGE D chanter - SALE or EXCHANGE

Hello, I'm not sure what you are selling or trading? The whole practice set or just the chanter? I have a Rooge Concert D set and one of his narrow bore D's chanters The Concert D is louder and "easier" to play. But you can close the reed down and it does become quite. Still not as mellow as the nar...

Re: Upload your tunes!

Here's where I'm sticking my neck out. Song of the Chanter on
pipes and clawhammer banjo.

Used audacity to play a track on the banjo and then made a track

I think its important when starting out to play the scale in a staccato fashion
with as much silence bewteen the note as sound. Will help when you learn staccato triplets.

Enjoy the music..... Ed

You have heard some good advise on this forum. I wouldl follow it as much as I can. Get a whistle and start leaning the Irish tunes and enjoy it. You are young enought that the whole world awaits you. Give yourself a little time as you look for a good practice set. Uilleann pipes and Irish muisc are...

The approach to the music, using the bag, and chanter ar...
